It’s important to give back to our local community and help others where we can, that’s why Monkey Puzzle Day Nurseries have continued to donate, fundraise and support a local charity called ‘The Pepper Foundation’ in Tring. After reviewing many local charities, discussing who we want to support, why we want to and how we will – we finally reached a unanimous decision to support a foundation very close to our hearts.
The Pepper Foundation is a small charity raising money to help fund children’s hospice at home nursing care in Bucks and Herts. The funds we raise, support nurses providing specialist paediatric care for children with life limiting or life-threatening conditions. Care is provided free of charge in patients own homes and is unique in this area as it is available 24 hours a day, all year round.
The Children’s Hospice at Home nursing team and the service they provide is managed by Rennie Grove Hospice Care, and as well as nursing care for the children, they offer practical advice for parents and emotional support for siblings and other family members. In giving children the choice to be cared for at home, surrounded by the people and things they love, the aim is to ensure their lives are as happy and comfortable as possible.
