Monkey Puzzle Day Nurseries reflects on 2023, a year filled with community spirit, determination, and a commitment to making a positive impact. Join us as we look back at some of our most memorable moments and achievements in supporting The Pepper Foundation – a cause close to our hearts.

Monkey Puzzle Day Nurseries believe in the importance of supporting and giving back to our local community. As an organisation, we care about others and want to be able to help to make a positive impact beyond the children within our nurseries where we can.

In 2023, the Monkey Puzzle team had the pleasure of attending The Pepper Show and we can confidently say it was an unforgettable experience. The show, which typically draws over a thousand people each year, is a testament to the enduring spirit of live music in Hertfordshire.

This year, Monkey Puzzle not only attended The Pepper Show but also had the privilege of sponsoring this extraordinary event. We recognise the hard work, dedication and passion that go into putting together such a remarkable show.  We are proud to be a part of this event that has become an integral part of Hertfordshire’s cultural fabric.

In November and December 2023, Monkey Puzzle’s Head Office embarked on an exciting challenge – cycling all the way to Lapland! From Berkhamsted to Lapland, with stops at festive Christmas markets along the way, our team pedalled their way to support The Pepper Foundation in their mission to fund children’s hospice at home nursing care in Bucks and Herts.

While the goal of reaching Lapland may have been ambitious, the team collectively cycled an impressive 1,034km. The effort didn’t go unnoticed as our community rallied together to raise an outstanding £2,115 for The Pepper Foundation.

As Dom Graham, Marketing and Comms lead at The Pepper Foundation, aptly puts it, “They are a great team to work with; it is really important that we have partners like Monkey Puzzle to help us keep the service running.” We, in turn, express our gratitude for the opportunity to contribute to The Pepper Foundation.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed to this remarkable cause. Your support ensures that nurses can continue to provide specialist paediatric care for children with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions, right in the comfort of their own homes.

As we bid farewell to 2023, Monkey Puzzle Day Nurseries remains committed to making a positive impact on the lives of those in need and our partnership with The Pepper Foundation continues to be a source of inspiration and hope.

Looking ahead to 2024, we are thrilled to share an exciting initiative that The Pepper Foundation has embarked upon – the ‘Pepper Panda on Tour Kindness Challenge.’ As part of this initiative, the foundation is reaching out to nurseries, including Monkey Puzzle Day Nurseries, to spread awareness about the importance of kindness and inclusivity among preschoolers.

The Pepper Foundation team is planning a tour to visit some of our nurseries, with the goal of engaging our young learners in the Kindness Challenge.
