What is a nursery practitioner?

Early Years Practitioners spend most of their days supporting learning and delivering the curriculum to our children. Working in age group rooms, they interact and play with the children, helping them to develop and grow as they explore the world around them through both guided and child led activities.

Our Practitioners work under the guidance of senior staff. Working together, they provide the highest level of care and education for all children attending our nurseries, in line with our curriculum and guidance, ensuring that all our children are safe, learning and enjoying their time with us.

The role of an Early Years Practitioner can also have different titles depending on the nursery, region and their qualifications. These include:

  • Childcare Practitioner
  • Early Years Educator
  • Early Years Practitioner
  • Level 2 Practitioner
  • Level 3 Practitioner
  • Level 4 Practitioner
  • Key Practitioner
  • Nursery Practitioner
  • Nursery Nurse
