Chefs at our Monkey Puzzle Nurseries are responsible for delivering the nutritious and delicious food that we provide for our children.
Offering 3 meals a day (plus snacks) is a busy schedule for our Chefs but is important to support our children with the energy and nutrition that they need to be able to learn and play. Monkey Puzzle Chefs will work on site at the nursery, following the required menus and designing the dishes in reference to the nursery’s food and drink policy.
Chefs at Monkey Puzzle need to ensure our food is all delivered to the company’s standard, through production and service, all the way to the presentation of the food.
Our Chefs have lots of roles within the kitchen that don’t stop at just preparing our daily meals. They are partially or fully responsible for the nursery’s catering budgets, ordering of supplies and catering training, but also kitchen health and safety and a careful observance of dietary requirements and much more as well.
Most of all, Monkey Puzzle Chefs are passionate about cooking and delivering delicious food! They love being around the children and are friendly, enthusiastic and fun!
Experience and qualifications desired but not essential as we are able to support your training and development:
- One or more years’ experience in the hospitality industry
- Food and Hygiene safety certification Level 2
- Experience in planning a nutritionally balanced menu
