Their exceptional work life balance where they scored 100% is just one of the many reasons why employees love working for Monkey Puzzle Day Nurseries Ltd – even during a global pandemic! Despite an incredibly challenging year for the Early Years sector, Monkey Puzzle Day Nurseries were able to sustain their award-winning culture, ultimately achieving a ranking on the 2021 UK’s Best Workplaces(tm) list (in the small category) published by Great Place to Work(r) UK today.
Monkey Puzzle Day Nurseries Ltd is among the 183 UK-based organisations recognised by its employees as an organisation that consistently promotes a healthy workplace culture through trust, pride and camaraderie. They achieved 100% on the key statement of “Taking everything into account, I would say this is a great place to work.” This is against a benchmark average of 94% versus 2020 UK Best Places to Work (Small).
Monkey Puzzle believes that understanding the perspective of employees is key to building a successful workplace environment. Monkey Puzzle already do a fantastic job by working with great franchisees who serve their communities across 65 (and growing!) nurseries, however GPTW results highlighted that, as a team, Monkey Puzzle felt that they would like to offer more to their local community. As a result, Monkey Puzzle chose to work with a charity local to their Head Office in Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire and is now supporting The Pepper Foundation, a charity that provides in home hospice care for families of children with life limiting illnesses and conditions. They have raised some money as a team, but they are also hoping to donate time this year to support the charity physically by sorting out store rooms, and possibly other events, to make a difference and add value to an honourable foundation that needs help and funds.
