Mayor of Bromley cuts the ribbon for the grand opening of Monkey Puzzle Day Nursery Orpington
Members of Monkey Puzzle Head Office and nursery staff from Monkey Puzzle Orpington welcomed some very special guests through their doors to officially open the brand new Day Nursery.
Bromley Mayor, Hannah Gray, came along to Monkey Puzzle Orpington’s official unveiling as a guest of honour. The Mayor was joined by Orpington Ward Councillors Kim Botting and Pauline Tunicliffe. The Mayor and Councillors took a tour of the nursery rooms and facilities, joined the Monkey Puzzle team for lunch and cut the ribbon to unveil the beautifully refurbished new Day Nursery.
The Mayor, Hannah Gray said:
‘Monkey Puzzle Orpington is going to be a beautifully safe and inspiring environment for the young people of Orpington’.
Arlind Marku, the owner of three Monkey Puzzle Nurseries, Orpington, Bromley and New Cross was proud and elated to welcome guests into his new nursery.
Arlind Marku said:
‘This is our third nursery site within the Monkey Puzzle Day Nursery franchise and we are very excited to be able to offer our services and expertise to the Orpington area.
The key to our success over the years has been the management we have in place, including the extensive support we receive from Monkey Puzzle Head Office. We are fortunate to be able to share the good practice from our sister nurseries and Nick (Operations Manager) and Emma (Early Years Coordinator) have a wealth of experience to instil into Monkey Puzzle Orpington’.
Nick Huddart (Operations Manager) was asked if the build and opening process was difficult due to COVID 19.
Nick Huddart commented:
‘It has been challenging during COVID 19 to ensure that we are on top of safety procedures and staying within the social distancing guidelines, but in the end it became second nature for us and we adapted to the new environment.
It has been amazing to be part of the nursery build project from the outset and I am extremely proud of what we have created for the families of Orpington. I cannot wait to share the nursery with everyone now that we have commenced open days and viewings!’
Monkey Puzzle Orpington was also thankful to welcome Orpington Ward Councillors Kim Botting and Pauline Tunicliffe who said ‘The nursery is absolutely fabulous! The residents of Orpington will benefit greatly, it is a beautifully designed, light and open space. An overall great facility’.
